More sensor wiring, pulling harness through to engine, alternator wiring | 1.15.2021
Started by finishing up the sensor connectors as much as possible. There's a few sensors that are terminated to two of these connectors, but they're all from the front of the plane, so they'll need to wait.
After the wire bundles were as complete as possible, I connected them to the GEA 24 and then worked on tidying them up and pulling them through the firewall. I ended up using clear heatshrink in 1" "bands" to keep the wires together and tidy going out the firewall. 6" pieces were used as strain relief and rub protection around the bends into the wiring duct and out of it on the firewall.
Didn't get many pictures because I was cramped, half crouching in the back of the plane.
Here's the tail aft of the fuselage. |
This is the routing down the side and into the wiring duct. |
Figured that while I was trying to find the best route for the cable, I'd securely mount the pressure transducer block.
Once that was done, I figured that I'd work on the alternator wiring. Figured our how it would route, then connected the ANL fuse block and shunt to the firewall. Then terminated all the wires and got everything nicely routed.
That's all for now!
