Door work, magnetometer mount | 1.9.2021

Started out by sanding down that interior door window micro. I knew I'd hate this... Still needs to be re-taped and then cleaned up with one more pass of micro. Then sanded... again. This is honestly the first time I've *not* enjoyed my time building the plane. I have like 4 hours just on this stupid window interior fairing detail so far. /rant

Once that was done, I moved on to glassing in the magnetometer mount. Surfaces were prepped, then it was glued in place with a mixture of epoxy, shredded glass fiber, and cabo. The magnetometer was leveled and then aligned with the centerline of the plane and left to cure.

Scraps holding it in place while it cures.

Lastly, I filled the gaps around the foam in the door strake detail with micro. This will get sanded flush and then one ply of bid over top to finish it out.
